Slovak artist Andrej Jakab belongs to that group of artists who received strong influences from the great Czech master Vaclav Cigler.
During that time when Cigler taught glass in architecture at the academy in Bratislava, a group of artists formed around him that we now refer to as the “Cigler School.
Although Jakab never belonged to Cigler’s school, he did work for him for many years.
Cigler’s influence can be seen unmistakably in his works.
