On November 26 our autumn glass day / ALV was held at the Rietveld pavilion in Amersfoort.
Here the opportunity was taken to visit , immediately afterward, the “Glass in Pictures” exhibition.

A check was presented to the director of the National Glass Museum at the beginning of the meeting. A number of VVMG members have chosen to also donate an additional 45€ intended for the National Glass Museum with their membership in the society. This allows the president to hand over to Laurens Geurts of the NGM a nice sum of 1665 €.
In addition, this meeting explained the budget and some questions were answered. The budget was approved by the members.
Since the current treasurer has indicated that he will retire with his duties in the spring of 2024, we are pleased that there is already a new candidate who will join the board from now on to ensure a smooth transition to the new treasurer.
Ans Vollering introduced herself and received a warm welcome in advance by the members. For a closer look, please click here.
Members will also be updated on cooperation with the glass art foundation.
The spring glass day/ALV will take place partly as a result of this collaboration at the Cannenburch during the exhibition Glass – Still Water on March 10.
The proposed amendment to the By-Laws was adopted unanimously.
Furthermore, an explanation of the stand around the membership object and the Bernardine de Neeve prize was given and other activities were covered.

The meeting ended with an interesting and enthusiastic talk by Evert Nijland, the designer of our member object 2023.

After the formal part, we were given a tour of the “Glass in Pictures” exhibition and, what was extra nice, an explanation of their work by the artists present.

You can look forward to the minutes of this meeting, as usual, well before the glass day AGM in the spring.
