Ebeltoft Glass Museum (vaste collectie)
31 december 2022 - 31 december 2024

Glasmuseet Ebeltoft’s extensive collection of contemporary glass has been established with the support of more than 700 internationally recognised glass artists from all over the world. These artists have all generously donated or lent work to the collection, which today comprises more than 1500 objects.
The collection consists of work by artists from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Republic of Belarus, Rumania, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela, Yugoslavia.
The main aim of the museum is to show the latest trends in contemporary glass art. Artists are, therefore, encouraged to exchange or supplement their work on a regular basis so that the collection is kept as up-to-date as possible.
The permanent collection is presented in various theme exhibitions every year. After a period of time, works are often exchanged for other works which still fit the chosen theme. In this way, we can show a larger number works from the collection. Occasionally the total exhibition space is occupied by separate exhibitions, but the museum strives to show as many of the works from the collection as possible.
